Vitra.ai Architects: Akash Nidhi P S and Satvik Jagannath Revolutionize Content Accessibility
Transcontinental Times
In a world teeming with diverse content, language barriers often hinder accessibility. Acknowledging this challenge, Akash Nidhi P S and Satvik Jagannath founded Vitra.ai in 2020, an AI-based video translation platform designed to make videos, podcasts, and other rich content accessible across languages.

The profile
Transcontinental Times profiled both founders in January 2024, covering how Akash Nidhi P S and Satvik Jagannath built Vitra.ai from a 2020 start into a platform translating video, images, websites, podcasts and text into more than 75 languages from a single click.
"In today's time, everyone is creating content, whether it is a $100B company or an influencer on Instagram. But many of them fail to reach a wider audience because of the language barrier."
— Satvik Jagannath, Co-founder, Vitra.ai
The claims, and the competitive set
The piece put numbers to the efficiency argument: solutions around 100 times faster and 80% cheaper than manual translation, with a ten-minute video typically translated in five to six minutes. Industries served spanned edtech, media, fintech and health tech, with B2B customers including HDFC Bank and Axis Bank, plus a self-serve product aimed at creators.
Nidhi P S sized the global translation market at a projected 560,000 raised at that point from 100X.VC and Inflexor Ventures.
The differentiator the founders pointed to was the same one that recurs across every profile of the company: a context-aware engine rather than word-for-word substitution. The stated goal was to become the default translation layer for rich media, which is the ambition the platform is built toward.
