## The programme, one year on

YourStory revisited the 2022 edition of ML Elevate, the AWS and Accel accelerator for AI and ML startups, to look at what participation actually changed for the companies that went through it.

ML Elevate gives startups AWS credits, technical mentorship from AWS solution architects, and a demo week in front of investors. For AI companies the credits matter more than they sound: inference cost is the dominant line item in a generative AI product's gross margin, and the difference between a viable and an unviable price point is often just compute.

## Vitra.ai and ML Elevate

Vitra.ai has been part of the ML Elevate community across editions, and was named again by AWS when the [2023 generative AI cohort was announced](https://www.vitra.ai/news-room/aws-and-accel-announce-ml-elevate-2023-to-support-generative-ai-startups-in-the-country). Running [video dubbing](https://www.vitra.ai/features/video-dubbing) and [image translation](https://www.vitra.ai/features/image-translation) at enterprise volume is an infrastructure problem as much as a modelling one, which is why the relationship has been a durable one.
