The distinction that matters is not which vendor. It is whether the words leave the file.

## Why the round trip costs more than it looks

Strings go out. Somebody translates them. They come back, and now German runs thirty percent longer than the English the frame was designed around.

So a designer reopens every frame, fixes overflow, re-runs auto-layout, and discovers that three components inherited a change made while the strings were away. Then a copy edit lands and the whole loop restarts.

That back-and-forth is the actual cost, and it is invisible on an invoice because it lands on the design team rather than the vendor.

## Translating inside the file
