# Website & App Localization Guides

The translation should fit the interface and the release process. For a website, readers need a language URL they can find and share. For an app, the strings need to work in the screen, not just in a spreadsheet.

Learn it. Try it. Review it.

A clear path from question to finished work.

01

### Choose a language and URL strategy

Decide which market the page serves, how people switch languages and how each version will be found. Changing visible text alone does not answer those questions.

02

### Work with the content system you have

WordPress pages, a headless CMS and a React app have different extraction and release paths. Pick the approach that leaves the site maintainable.

### Test the page and the file

Check placeholders, plural forms, links and right-to-left layouts. Review the actual checkout or onboarding screen before calling the release ready.

A useful question

Does website translation make a page rank in another country?

Not automatically. Useful local content, crawlable language URLs, accurate metadata and internal links all matter. Language annotations help describe versions; they do not guarantee indexing or rankings.
